When someone dies, it's hard to know what to do next

I'm Derrick. I work with you one-on-one to create a Celebration of Life that feels like them - gently, at your pace, and in a way that feels right for you.

No pressure. Just a conversation.

Where To Start

You don't have to figure this out alone

After a loss, there's often a gap between handling the logistics and creating something meaningful.

You might be unsure what's expected, trying to balance different family needs, not connecting with traditional options, or just not ready to think about it yet.

All of that is normal. When we work together, I help you move through this step by step - so you're not carrying it on your own.

Support

What I actually help you with

Most people don't need event planning. They need help making decisions during a difficult time.

  • Figuring out what kind of gathering feels right
  • Finding and booking the right venue
  • Shaping the ceremony: who speaks, flow, and structure
  • Incorporating cultural or religious elements
  • Coordinating music, food, and atmosphere
  • Managing logistics so you can be present

About

I'm Derrick.

I do this work because in moments like this, it helps to have someone who can listen carefully, bring structure, and stay calm when there is a lot to carry.

My background in event planning, funeral work, MAID exposure, and supporting real families shaped how I approach Celebrations of Life.

There are no templates here, and no borrowing from cultures or traditions that are not yours. The work is personal, thoughtful, and rooted in what feels meaningful to your family.

The name In Good Co. comes from the idea that you shouldn't have to go through this alone.
